Our Head of Sustainable Development, Dr. Bastian Bach, gives a presentation at the International Zinc Recycling Conference in Nashville.

GRILLO is part of the DURALINK project, which aims to optimize steel welds and corrosion protection to improve the durability and cost efficiency of offshore wind turbines.

Our colleague Oliver Suchard gave a presentation on innovative zinc materials at the Batteries Event 2024 in Lyon.

As part of the exchange of experience on thermal spraying organized by the SLV Duisburg and the Fraunhofer Institute for Large Structures in Production Technology (Fh IGP), two colleagues were on site in Rostock.

As part of the Zinc College organized by IZA, our Sustainable Development Officer, Dr Bastian Bach, is currently on site at the Zinc College in India.

The smartphone is a constant companion. When the battery is empty on the road, many people are at a loss. The solution is a mobile charging option for on the go. This is precisely the topic we have dedicated ourselves to.

GRILLO has worked with research teams to develop a competitive cell design for zinc-air energy storage that is scalable up to the megawatt range. This allows customers to benefit from the low cost of active materials, high availability of zinc and good environmental compatibility.

GRILLO is part of a project funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research that is working on a low-cost and scalable zinc-air battery to store renewable energy.

Our research has yielded a promising result: zinc-air batteries could be the solution to the problem of limited energy density of lithium-ion batteries, making long-distance electric vehicles possible.
